A national department responsible for enhancing agricultural industries and managing biosecurity risks selected Castlepoint to manage the transition and ongoing sharing of systems and data between itself and another department formed as a result of a demerger. With an extensive data estate containing sensitive national security information and a requirement to demerge from a preceding agency, the organisation required a solution to govern, classify, and determine custody of data effectively across shared systems.

Castlepoint was deployed initially to help manage the department's cloud estate, and registered over 55,000 separate systems. The platform appraised all records against all schedules, based on content, and automatically applied relevant regulatory retention policies as well as applying organisational structure ontologies to help differentiate the demerged data within the network to ensure effective governance and custodianship of previously shared assets between spun off departments.
