Machinery of Government Change for an Agricultural Department

A national department responsible for enhancing agricultural industries and managing biosecurity risks selected Castlepoint to manage the transition and ongoing sharing of systems and data between itself and another department formed as a result of a demerger. With an extensive data estate containing sensitive national security information and a requirement to demerge from a preceding agency, the organisation required a solution to govern, classify, and determine custody of data effectively across shared systems.

The Challenge

The Department is a significant regulator in the national economy, responsible for enhancing national agricultural industries and trade, and managing the threat of biosecurity risks. As such, the data estate contains sensitive information with a national security classification. Formed as a result of a demerger the department required a solution to manage the transition and ongoing sharing of systems and data with another spun off department.

The Solution
